We have also managed to find time to bye a new sofa that fits perfect for our new livingroom. Tomorrow we have decided to stay home and take it easy as it has been quite a busy week. Oh.... Last Lunch At CERN

The last traditional Christmas lunch with oysters at CERN was today, this afternoon I am taking the plane back to Norway. It is a bit strange to think that this is the last working day at CERN after 5 years, but I am confident that we have made the correct decision. I will however miss at the friends I have made here as well as speaking French? Strange but true!
Thank you Geneva and CERN J

Satellite photos

It is pretty amazing that you now can see your own house via a satellite photo on the internet! I actually used this Norwegian site when we bought our house, is we did not even see it ourselves before be bought it. The website is called: http://www.norgeibilder.no/ only for Norway, it gives much better detail than Google earth. Hey there’s our house!

smelly cat smelly cat!

When the cat is away, the saying goes. Well in this case we have new member of the Isaksen family. She doesnot have a name yet so if you have any suggestions feel free. We got the cat from my sister since hear daughter is allergic. I have been in bed sick for two days now! Staring to feel better, but no quite there yet. I guess it is all the stress in the last months that has finally caught up with me.

Finnland house in France

As it was sunday I decided to do small trip and have a look the new house Magnus is bulding in France. The house was deliverd from Finnland (his homeland) and looks very nice! It really stands out as a scandinavian house amongst all of the old style French houses surrounding it, but in a good way of course! Magnus is one of those gyes that does everything him self, and succeeds with it. Good luck!

Escalade in Geneva

Today I was in Geneva to meet friends and have a look at the escalade. The escalade is a celebration of a houswife that discoverd that the catolic Savoiard tryed to climb the city wall and sease the protestant Geneva. However the women was making soup and decided to poure this over their heads, it seems to have worked since they arecelebrating this still after so many years (it took place in 1602). The day was ended in Francisco and Valeries house together with some excelent soup of course.

Back in Geneva

Well then I am beck in Geneva and have installed myself in one of the rooms of the CERN hostel. After spending one week in the new house in Norway the prospect of going back to CERN staying in a fairly bleak room was not the most temping taught however it is no so bad as I can sleep a bit longer in the mornings with no kids ;-)
Charlotte told me that she had been outside cleaning snow most of the morning and that se loved it (you got the job my dear!).
